They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They’re right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister’s ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn’t too late.

They say the brightest stars burn out the fastest. They’re right.
She sets my mind on fire.
All smart mouth, snarky attitude and a huge heart.
In a world where everything is dull, she shines like fucking Sirius.
Eleven years ago, fate tore us apart.
This time, I fucking dare it to try.
Getting to her is a battlefield, but man, that’s why they call me Ruckus.
Rosie LeBlanc is about to find out how hard I can fight.
And conquering her will be the sweetest victory.

LJ Shen slays!! I knew I’d love it, but not this much. I’m in book hangover hell. I want more Hotholes!!
Okay…Let’s dive into the deliciousness that is Ruckus.
Here’s the Breakdown: Dean Ruckus Cole is a manwhore of epic proportions. Seemingly, upset by his former girlfriend moving on with one of his best friends, he approaches life like it’s a never-ending buffet of women and booze. Rosie has always been the doted-on daughter. Her illness overshadows everything in her family’s eyes. What no one understands is that she refuses to be viewed as a wilting flower. She wants to live a full life and not be defined by her illness.

What I floved: Pretty much everything about the book falls into this category, but I’ll break it down for you. The history and story within the story – Dean and Rosie share a history that I never anticipated. Catching up with these two from high school through present day is very eye-opening and so meaningful to the story.
The main characters – Although they’re both dealing with some major drama and life events, they can’t help but fall in love. It’s organic and flows well. It’s not forced or superficial. The character and relationship development are both strong and perfectly rendered.
The secondary characters – There’s so much Hothole goodness throughout. Vicious fans, get ready to 1-click this Mofo as soon as it releases!!
The love story is amazing. The twists and turns you don’t expect will keep you on your toes. And the ending is sure to please. I was floored by the amazing storyteller and larger than life characters.
Overall, this is an epic story about love that transcends the test of time, hormones, and unfortunate assholery. It’s unpredictable, raw, emotional, and edgy- pure chaos contained in a beautiful package. The Hotholes reunite to deal with love, loss, family drama, and everything that accompanies growing up and trust me you don’t want to miss it! Highly recommend for fans of the series, those interested in emotional romance, or just a plain old good story!
